Badd Kitti gave a solo performance at Girls Rock Philly summer camp, helping to kick-off the first in-person camp since shutting down due to the pandemic in 2020. For the concert, Badd Kitti debuted her latest EDM set up, including the Arturia Keystep Pro, Roland TR-6s, and iPad using soft synths. As hoped, the girls really enjoyed the performance, and had lots of questions about the technology, and about what it’s like to be a musician in general.
Girls Rock Philly uses musical expression, experimentation and collaboration to foster self esteem, confidence and leadership in girls, grades 5 through 12. Badd Kitti started volunteering for GRC Summer Camp about ten years ago, and has stayed connected with the organization. Say Badd Kitti, “What GRC provides is invaluable. Girls really need a safe place to discover who they are without feeling judged. It was truly an honor to be among those artists called upon to reopen GRC!”
